Solar Powered Street Lights
Self Sufficient Street Light by Natalia Romanova
Total electricity consumed by street lights were installed to keep the highway safe after dark is very surprising. To reduce the load on the grid, industrial designers have often thought of potential systems that use renewable solar energy. In addition, because the street lights installed in the open, they can easily harvest solar energy for lighting at night.
Natalia Romanova, an industrial designer has come up with a concept Self Sufficient Street Light that captures renewable solar energy during the day to charge the onboard battery. Street lights should be made from metal with concrete base. Flexible solar modules generate electricity for two LED-panels. The designer believes that the lamp will produce more energy than necessary, with all surplus energy being stored to recharge EVs.
